How to Play

1. Gather three to eight players, either online in a room or around one phone or tablet.
2. Each round, one player is the artist. Only the artist can see the secret word, such as "kite" or "teapot".
3. The artist has 60 seconds to draw it using the pens, two brush sizes, undo and clear.
4. Everyone else looks at the drawing and taps one of four word buttons. Each guesser gets exactly one guess per round.
5. After the answer is revealed, the next player becomes the artist. Once everybody has drawn once, the highest score wins.

Rules

Guessers never type anything. Instead, each round shows four possible words, and only one of them is right. Think carefully, because a guess cannot be changed once you tap it.

Speed matters. The first player to guess correctly earns 3 points, the second earns 2, and anyone else who gets it right earns 1. A wrong guess earns nothing. The artist earns 1 point for every player who guessed correctly, so clear drawings pay off for the artist too.

A round ends as soon as every guesser has picked a word, or when the artist's 60 seconds run out. The answer is then shown along with who got it right. Players take turns as the artist in seat order, and the game ends when everyone has had one turn. If two or more players finish on the top score, they share the win.

Artists should draw pictures, not words. Writing letters or numbers on the canvas spoils the fun, so keep it to shapes and doodles.

Tips & Strategy

• Draw the outline first. Start with the biggest, most recognisable shape, such as the round body of a drum or the triangle of a kite. Details can come later if there is time.
• Use colour as a clue. A splash of orange for a mango or blue for a river helps guessers rule out options quickly.
• Guessers, compare the four words. Ask which option could not possibly match the lines so far. Removing even one wrong choice raises your chances a lot.
• Balance speed and certainty. Guessing first is worth 3 points, but a wrong early guess scores nothing. If two words still fit, wait for one more line.
• Artists win by being clear, not artistic. Because the artist scores for each correct guess, a simple, obvious sketch beats a slow, beautiful one.

Game Modes

Play Online is the full live version. The artist's lines appear on everyone's screen as they are drawn, and guessers can tap an answer at any moment during the 60 seconds.

Play with Friend is a pass-the-phone version for one device. The artist draws in private, taps Done — pass it on, and then the phone travels round the group. A cover screen appears between players so nobody sees another person's choice. When everyone has guessed, the answer is revealed and the next artist takes over.

There are no computer players in this game. It is made for real people laughing at each other's drawings.

Play with Friends Online

Tap Play Online and start a new room, then share the invite link or room code with your friends or cousins. People who open the link land in your lobby, and you need at least three players before the host can press Start. The drawing travels to every screen in small, quick bursts, so it looks live even on a slow connection. Everyone else sees only the four word buttons, and there is no chat box, which keeps the game safe for children. Quick emoji reactions are available for cheering a great sketch.
